	Check
1	Check, whether the vehicle is affected by the measure.	Affected vehicles: Check right sliding door lock (code: VS2TUERSCH, acc. no.: 72 902 52) For authorized Mercedes-Benz service partners, only the entry in the "Extended VEGA Application" (EVA) system, in the "Current" tab is decisive. An additional test of the affected vehicles in the workshop information system (WIS) or on the vehicle list is thus not necessary. If the vehicle is affected by the measure: ↓ Only carry out operation steps 4 to 7 once.	SM72.00-S-0017-01AAA
2	Centrally unlock vehicle using the "Unlock" button (1).	See owner's manual.
3	Centrally lock vehicle using the "Lock" button (3).	See owner's manual.
4	Pull door handle (4) of right sliding door (5) up to end position and hold it in this position.	From this operation step onward, it must be ensured that the instrument cluster multifunction display is active (instrument cluster is supplied with voltage) throughout the entire test. Otherwise it is possible that the function test of the door lock of the right sliding door (5) may be carried out incorrectly.
5	Centrally unlock vehicle again using the "Unlock" button (1).	The door handle (4) of the right sliding door (5) must be in the end position (see operation step 4). See owner's manual.
6	Slowly let the door handle (4) fall back.	Let door handle (4) of right sliding door (5) fall back as slowly as possible. Otherwise it is possible that the test of the door lock may be carried out incorrectly.
7	Operate door handle (4).	Do not  repeat operation steps 4 to 7. Otherwise, the right sliding door (5) can be opened although the door lock is defective. If the right sliding door (5) opens after the first attempt: ↓ The door lock is functioning correctly. The vehicle can be handed over to the customer. If the right sliding door (5) does not open after the first attempt: ↓ Continue with operation step 8.
	Replace
8	Replace door lock of right sliding door (5).
		Properly dispose of the right sliding door's (5) removed door lock. To do so, observe the applicable legal requirements and specifications of the relevant country.	AR72.16-S-4035E
