| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Remove tailgate trim (2). | AR72.20-S-6445E | |
| 2 | Remove retaining clips (3) of the corresponding sensor strip (1). | Fig 2 | |
| 3 | Detach sealing film (4) from the tailgate until electrical connector (5) is accessible. | ||
| 4 | Unclip electrical connector (5) from the retaining clamp (arrow A) of the tailgate. | Fig 2 | |
| 5 | Release and disconnect electrical connector (5) from the retaining tab (arrow B). | ||
| 6 | Detach grommet (6) from the tailgate and remove sensor strip (1) with electrical wiring harness (7). | ||
| 7 | Install in the reverse order. | ||

| 8 | Check opening and closing function of the tailgate. |
