Location 

The right sliding door control unit (E-LSTR) is located in the right side wall.

The left sliding door control unit (E-LSTL) is located in the left side wall.

Task 

The right sliding door control unit (E-LSTR) actuates the right electric sliding door via the right electric sliding door drive (M73/1). The left sliding door control unit (E-LSTR) actuates the left electric sliding door via the left electric sliding door drive (M73/2). Moreover, the right sliding door control unit (E-LSTR) and left sliding door control unit (E-LSTL) is responsible for following functions:

Moreover, the right sliding door control unit (E-LSTR) on vehicles with code W68 (Electrically actuated tailgate) is responsible for tailgate control.

Reading in of signals 

The input factors are read in by the right sliding door control unit (E-LSTR) and left sliding door control unit (E-LSTL) by the following connections:

Direct line 

The following signals are read in via a direct line:

On vehicles with CODE W68 (Electrically actuated liftgate), moreover, the right sliding door control unit (E-LSTR) directly reads in the status of the liftgate control drive unit (M74).

Interior CAN 

The signals are read in by the right sliding door control unit (E-LSTR) and left sliding door control unit (E-LSTL) via the interior CAN.

The resultant functions are described in the respective function descriptions.

Evaluation of input factors 

The input factors read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessors and the relevant components are then actuated.

Output of signals 

Signals are output via the following lines:

Direct line 

The following components are actuated via a direct line:

On vehicles with CODE W68 (Electrically actuated liftgate), moreover, the right sliding door control unit (E-LSTR) directly actuates the liftgate control drive unit ().

Interior CAN 

The signals are transmitted by the right sliding door control unit (E-LSTR) and left sliding door control unit (E-LSTL) via the interior CAN.

The resultant functions are described in the respective function descriptions.
