	Remove/install
1	Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m).
2	Unclip cover (2) and remove.	Model 447 with code ET4 (Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC) Model 447 with code JA9 (Traffic Sign Assist) Model 447 with code JF1 (rain sensor) Model 447 with code LG2 (LED Intelligent Light System) Ensure that cover (2) is seated correctly. Clip remover	Fig 1

4	Disconnect electrical connector from antenna (1).
5	Remove antenna (1) from holder (4).	Observe installation position of antenna (1). The electrical connector of the antenna (1) must face toward the front passenger side. Double-sided adhesive tape TESA 77811	*BR00.45-Z-1201-02A
		Clip remover If the holder (4) has detached from the windshield (5) or retaining plate (6) during removal of the antenna (1): ↓ Remove holder (4) from windshield (5) or retaining plate (6).	Fig 1
	Clean
6	Completely remove any residue of old tape (7) from rear or front side of holder (4) and clean bonding surfaces.	Cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1025-04A
7	Remove any residue of old tape (7) from windshield (5) or retaining plate (6) and clean bonding surface.	If holder (4) has detached from windshield (5) or retaining plate (6) during removal of the antenna (1). Cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1025-04A
8	Remove any residue of old tape (7) from antenna (1) and clean bonding surface.	Not when replacing antenna (1). Cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1025-04A
9	Install in the reverse order.
	Check
10	Check digital tachographs for proper operation.
