General
The powertrain control unit (N127) is installed on the driver's side in the footwell on the A-pillar.
Function
The powertrain control unit (N127) fulfills the task of communication between various CAN bus systems that affect the drivetrain. Direct signals from the coolant temperature sensors, the accelerator pedal module (A68) and the engine start/stop button (S2/2) are also sent and received.
The following input factors and initial parameters are read in or output over direct lines by the powertrain control unit (N127):

Ground connection
On left-hand drive vehicles, the "terminal 31" ground connection is made via the right vehicle interior firewall ground point 2 (W43/5).
On right-hand drive vehicles, the "terminal 31" ground connection is made via the left vehicle interior firewall ground point 2 (W43/6).
Power supply
Power is supplied to "terminal 15" and "terminal 87" via the engine compartment fuse and relay module (K40/10).
The power supply for "terminal 30t" is implemented via the firewall fuse and relay module (K40/11).
