General

The DC/DC converter control unit (N83/1) is seated in the seat box under the drivers seat

The DC/DC converter control unit (N83/1) and the 48 V battery (G1/3) are connected to each other and together form the battery module for 48 V battery.

Function

The DC/DC converter control unit (N83/1) converts the 48 V voltage of the 48 V battery (G1/3) into 12 V in order to be able to supply the 12 V on-board electrical system.

If the 48 V battery (G1/3) has to be charged, it can be charged via the 12 V battery. Here, the 12 V battery is connected to an external charging source and the DC/DC converter control unit (N83/1) converts the 12 V voltage of the 12 V battery (G1/3) into 48 V in order to be able to supply the 48 V battery.

Networking

Power supply

The DC/DC converter control unit (N83/1) is supplied with voltage by the firewall fuse and relay module (K40/11) via "terminal 30t" and by the pre-fuse box (F1) via "terminal 30".

In the event of an accident, "terminal 30c" is also issued by the pyrofuse (F39/1) to the 48 V battery (G1/3).

Ground connection

The ground connection "terminal 31" is made via a ground line to the auxiliary battery ground point (W10/4).
