Check Condensation Drain Hose Mount - AR83.30-P-5200-03A

Condensation drain hose connection (2) on air conditioner housing (1)

  1. 1.1  Only if corresponding holders are present.

    Hook condensation drain hose (2) into existing holder.

  2. 1.2  Only if a mounting location is available on air conditioner housing (1).

    Hook condensation drain hose (2) into air conditioner housing (1) (arrow i) (picture D2).

  3. 2.1  For air conditioner housings (1) with mechanical end stop (arrow c) (picture B1).

    Check if condensation drain hose (2) lies flush with the mechanical end stop (arrow c) of air conditioner housing (1).

    IMPORTANT The circumferential web (arrows e) on the fitting of air conditioner housing (1) must be seated in the groove of condensation drain hose (2).

  4. 2.2  For air conditioner housings (1) with color coding (arrow d) (picture B2).

    Check whether condensation drain hose (2) is pushed far enough onto the fitting on air conditioner housing (1) to fully cover over the color coding (arrow d).

    IMPORTANT The circumferential web (arrows e) on the fitting of air conditioner housing (1) must be seated in the groove of condensation drain hose (2).

  5. 2.3  For air conditioner housings (1) without mechanical end stop (arrow c) and without color coding (arrow d). Check if condensation drain hose (2) is pushed far enough onto the fitting on the air conditioner housing (1) so that it engages all the way round into the bar (arrows e).
  6. 2.4  For air conditioner housings (1) with mechanical end stop (arrows j) and with visual anti-twist lock (arrows k) (picture D1).

    Check whether condensation drain hose (2) is pushed far enough onto the fitting on air conditioner housing (1).

    IMPORTANT Condensation drain hose (2) must make flush contact with air conditioner housing (1).

    IMPORTANT The visual anti-twist lock (arrows k) must be in line.

  7. 3.1  With anti-twist lock inside (picture A1).

    Check whether the groove on condensation drain hose (2) is seated exactly above the web (arrow a).

  8. 3.2  With anti-twist lock outside (picture A2).

    Check whether the cutout on condensation drain hose (2) is seated exactly above the web (arrow b).

  9. Detach condensation drain hose (2) and push on again.

    If condensation drain hose (2) is not correctly positioned.

    IMPORTANT Observe bar (arrows a, b, e) and mechanical end stop (arrow c), (arrows j), color coding (arrow d) or visual anti-twist lock (arrows k).

    IMPORTANT The circumferential web (arrows e) on the fitting of air conditioner housing (1) must be seated in the groove of condensation drain hose (2).

    Connection, condensation drain hose (2) to body (3) 

  10. Check whether the inner sealing lips (arrows g, h) of condensation drain hose (2) make flush contact with body (3) all the way round.

    IMPORTANT Depending on the vehicle, condensation drain hose (2) can have three sealing lips (picture C1) or two sealing lips (picture C2) in the area of the body opening.

    The inner sealing lip (arrow h) does not seal off the body opening, but still has to be flush fitted all the way round.

  11. Make sure condensation drain hose (2) is not jammed in the area of the inner sealing lips (arrow g, h) between damping and body (3).

    For condensation drain hoses (2) with three sealing lips (picture C1).

  12. Position inner sealing lip (arrow g) of condensation drain hose (2) so that it makes flush contact with the body (3) all the way round.

    If the inner sealing lip (arrow g) of condensation drain hose (2) is not positioned correctly.

  13. Check whether condensation drain hose (2) makes flush contact with water drain (4) (arrow m) picture (Q1) or is locked in place (arrow n) picture (Q2).

    If condensation drain hose (2) is not correctly positioned or locked in place,

    Push on condensation drain hose (2) again, detach it and push it on.

  14. Check whether water drain (4) is correctly engaged with body (3) (arrows p) and that condensation drain hose (2) (arrows r) is correctly latched in place (picture Q3).

    If water drain (4) is not correctly engaged with body (3) and condensation drain hose (2) is not correctly latched in place on water drain (4),

    push on water drain (4) and condensation drain hose (2) again, detach and push on.
