The next steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle. In case of damage on the right side of the vehicle, these steps must be performed analogously.

The superordinate service document as well as the safety information in the service document must be observed.

1. Install rear panel mounting support (1), fit, and fix in place.
2. Transfer positions of the existing holes in the body with drill hole detectors on the rear panel mounting support (1) (area A).
3. Remove rear panel mounting support (1).
4. Drill rivet holes at the positions transferred with drill hole detectors on the rear panel mounting support (1) with a diameter of 6.8 mm (area A).
5. Deburr rivet holes on the rear panel mounting support (1) and on the body on both sides.
6. Remove drilling chips.

7. Apply 2-component adhesive to body in cross-hatched area.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces and manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of 2-component adhesive.

8. Install rear panel mounting support (1) and fix in place.
9. Rivet rear panel mounting support (1) with rivets with a diameter of 6.4 x 14 (area B).
10. Rear panel mounting support (1) (area C).

    Perform inert gas welding at intervals and allow to cool down in between.

    This reduces heat distortion.
