Location 

The control unit for the electric controller unit of the fully integrated transmission control is located in the electric controller unit of the fully integrated transmission control, which is located in the bottom of the automatic transmission.

Tasks 

General 

The control unit for the electric controller unit of the fully integrated transmission control determines the instantaneous operating status of the vehicle and actuates all gear change sequences taking shifting comfort and the driving situation into consideration.

Flash programming 

The transmission control in the control unit for the electric controller unit of the fully integrated transmission control is flashable, i.e., the complete control unit software can be exchanged (replaced). The software required for control unit programming is stored on the diagnosis software DVD.

CAN bus 

The control unit for the electric controller unit of the fully integrated transmission control is connected over the drive CAN (CANC1) to the vehicle's CAN network and it exchanges data with other control units.
