Location 

The DIRECT SELECT INTERFACE is located in the center console between the driver and front passenger seat.

Tasks 

The DIRECT SELECT INTERFACE records the status of the button "P" and also the positions of the selector lever without touch via integrated sensors with Hall elements.

The DIRECT SELECT INTERFACE is flashable and codeable.

Input and output signals 

The DIRECT SELECT INTERFACE evaluates the following input signals and outputs the appropriate output signals:

• Direct input signals 
• Drive unit CAN input signals (CAN DRVU) 
• Drive unit CAN output signal 

Direct input signals 

• Circuit 87 (fused)
• Circuit 31

Drive unit CAN input signals 

• Status of left door lock from left front door control unit (N69/1) via interior CAN (CAN B) electronic ignition lock control unit (N73 suspension FlexRay (Flex E) and Drive Unit control unit (N145/1)
• Status of service brake and wheel speeds from Electronic Stability Program control unit (N30/4) via suspension FlexRay and Drive Unit control unit

Drive unit CAN output signal 

• Selector lever position and status of "P" button to fully integrated transmission control electric controller unit control unit (Y3/8n4) via Drive Unit control unit suspension FlexRay powertrain control unit and drive CAN
• Status of circuit 15, from electronic ignition lock control unit via suspension FlexRay and powertrain control unit (N127)
