Adjust Camber At Rear Axle - AR40.20-P-0202FRX

MEASURING Measure     
1 Carry out input measurement.   AR40.20-P-0200FRX 
REMOVING Remove     
2 Raise vehicle.   AR00.60-P-1006A
    IMPORTANT The axles must be relieved of load.  
3 Drain pressure in AIR BODY CONTROL system using vehicle diagnosis system. Model 290
with code 489 (AIR BODY CONTROL)
 
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-06FR
4 Remove cover of spring link (1).    
5 Secure spring link (1) against folding down using a suitable hydraulic lifting device. Model 290
except code 489 (AIR BODY CONTROL)
 
6 Remove screw (2) and adjusting plates (3). NOTES
Model 290

Do not compress or extend the air suspension bellows.
Otherwise there will be damage to the air suspension bellows.
 
    IMPORTANT Model 290

Secure spring link (1) wit the aid of an assistant against falling down.
 
INSTALLING Install     
7 Insert new screw (2) and loosely screw on new nut.    
8.1 Lower hydraulic lifting device from spring link (1) and remove. Model 290

8.2 Build up pressure in AIR BODY CONTROL system using vehicle diagnosis system. Model 290
with code 489 (AIR BODY CONTROL)

  Adjust     
9 Select new adjusting plates (3) based on removed adjusting plates (3) and camber deviation determined during the initial measurement.   AR40.20-P-0203FX 
    IMPORTANT The new adjusting plates (3) to be installed must be determined on the basis of the measured camber deviation and the adjusting plates (3) already installed using the suspension data table.  
    IMPORTANT All the adjusting plates (3) of one spring link (1) must have the same number.  
10 Insert new determined adjusting plates (3) and tighten nut of screw (2) to Stage 1 of specified tightening torque. IMPORTANT Make sure that the adjusting plates (3) are seated correctly and in the correct installation position.  
    IMPORTANT Only fully tighten screw (2) after wheel alignment measurement.  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, spring control arm to rear axle carrier *BA35.20-P-1001-01I 
MEASURING Measure     
11 Carry out output measurement.   AR40.20-P-0200FRX 
INSTALLING Install     
12 Tighten screw (2) to Stage 2 of specified tightening torque. TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, spring control arm to rear axle carrier *BA35.20-P-1001-01I 
13 Install cover of spring link (1).    
14 Lower vehicle.   AR00.60-P-1006A
