WARNING Risk of injury  due to fan starting unexpectedly Do not reach into the rotation area or danger zone of the fan. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. AS20.40-Z-0001-01A
WARNING Risk of injury  . Skin or eye injuries may result when handling hot or glowing objects. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary. AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the overpressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.

  Drain off     
1 Remove upper engine cover.    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE     AP01.10-P-2405-01E
2 Remove lower engine compartment lining.   AR61.20-P-1105FRX
3 Remove cap from low-temperature circuit expansion reservoir.    
4 Remove coolant hose (1) from low-temperature circuit cooler and drain coolant into suitable container.   AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ
5 Attach coolant hose (1) to low-temperature circuit cooler.   AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ
6 Remove the coolant hose (2) from the low-temperature circuit cooler in the left wheel arch and drain the coolant into a suitable container.   AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ
7 Attach the coolant hose (2) to the low-temperature circuit cooler in the left wheel arch.   AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ
8 Remove coolant hose (3) from oil cooler (4) and drain coolant into suitable container.   AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ
9 Attach coolant hose (3) to the oil cooler (4).   AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ
  Pour in     
10 Fill clean coolant and bleed low-temperature circuit engine cooling system.   AR20.00-P-1142-04A

11 Perform the CPC control unit bleed routine.    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-06FR
12 Check low-temperature circuit for leak tightness.   AR09.41-P-1011MNI
