	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Risk of burn injuries  , suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning  caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust. 	Remove/install
1	Remove rear underfloor paneling.	: Only install rear underfloor paneling after leak test.	AR61.30-P-1001FR
2	Remove side underfloor paneling.		AR61.30-P-1001FR
3	Release longitudinal member panels in area of rear diagonal struts.		AR61.30-P-1001FR
4	Remove rear diagonal struts.	Bolt, rear diagonal strut to spare wheel well/body	*BA61.10-P-1008-01L
5	Remove center reinforcement under exhaust system.	Bolt, rear reinforcement to frame floor assembly	*BA61.10-P-1004-01L
6	Release and disconnect electrical connector of left exhaust gas flap actuator motor (M16/53).
7	Release and disconnect electrical connector of right exhaust gas flap actuator motor (M16/54).
8	Release and disconnect electrical connector of center exhaust gas flap actuator motor (M16/55)	Engine 177 in model 290 with code U78 (AMG sports exhaust system)
9	Support exhaust system (1).

10	Remove clamps (4).	: Replace clamps (4). Clamp, front exhaust system to center exhaust system	*BA49.10-P-1005-02E
11	Remove elastomer bearings (3) from exhaust system (1).	: Wet elastomer bearings (3) with lubricant. Antifriction paste, rubber parts 2.5 kg, DBL 6867.00	*BR00.45-Z-1002-06A
12	Check elastomer bearings (3) for damage.	If there are problems: ↓ Replace affected elastomer bearing (3).
13	Remove exhaust system (1) from major assembly mount.

14	Remove combustion and corrosion residues from connecting points and flange connections.
15	Install in the reverse order.
16	Check installation position and clearance of the exhaust system (1).	If there are problems: ↓ Re-align exhaust system (1).
	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when Engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the Engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
17	Perform Engine test run and check exhaust system (1) for leaks.
18	Install rear underfloor paneling.		AR61.30-P-1001FR
