Remove/Install Expansion Reservoir - AR20.30-P-4950MNI

WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the overpressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove cap (1).    
2 Extract coolant from expansion reservoir (2). SPECIAL TOOL Hand pump Fig 1
3 Remove bleed line (5) from expansion reservoir (2) and seal openings with protective covers.   AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ

4 Release and disconnect electrical connector at expansion reservoir (2).    
5.1 Clamp off coolant hose (4) with hose clamp pliers and seal openings with protective covers. Engine 177 in model 290.688

5.2 Remove coolant hose (4) from expansion reservoir (2) and seal openings with protective covers. Engine 177 in model 290.689 AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ

6 Remove expansion reservoir (2) from bracket (3).    
7 Remove expansion reservoir (2).    
8 Install in the reverse order.    
9 Check coolant level and correct if necessary. Notes on coolant level   AH20.00-P-1142-01CW 
    FLUID SPECIFICATION Cooling system *BF20.00-P-1001-02LA 
    FLUID SPECIFICATION Coolant mixing ratio *BF20.00-P-1001-04A 
10 Check engine cooling system for leak tightness.   AR20.00-P-1011MNI 
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

11 Perform engine test run and check engine cooling system for proper operation.
