Model 290 except code 397 (Carbon roof) except code 416 (Panoramic sunroof) 

The following operation steps are shown on model 290 except code 414 (Sliding sunroof).

1. Prepare bonding surfaces on center roof paneling (1) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas (areas B).

   Observe processing specifications of adhesive.

2. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in remaining crosshatched areas.

   Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

3. Remove grinding dust.
4. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.

   Do not coat bonding surfaces with zinc dust paint (areas A).

   Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
