The following operation steps are shown on model 290 except code 414 (Sliding sunroof).

The safety information in the superordinate service document must be observed.

1. Install center roof paneling (1), fit with set of spacer blocks and fix in place.

   When removing, observe specified dimensions and positions of set of spacer blocks.

2. Drill rivet holes in center roof paneling (1) with ø 6.7 mm from underneath through existing holes in body (areas A).

3. Drill rivet holes in center roof paneling (1) with ø 6.7 mm (area B).
4. Remove center roof paneling (1).
5. Deburr rivet holes on center roof paneling (1) and body on both sides.
6. Remove drilling chips.

7. Apply lining adhesive to roof frame (areas D).

   Observe processing specification for relining adhesive.

8. Apply 2-component adhesive on body in cross-hatched areas (areas C).

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces and manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of 2-component adhesive.

9. Apply lining adhesive to roof frame (areas E).

   Observe processing specification for relining adhesive.

10. Install center roof paneling (1), fit with set of spacer blocks and fix in place.

    When removing, observe specified dimensions and positions of set of spacer blocks.

11. Rivet center roof paneling (1) with rivets ø 6.5x12.5 (areas G).
12. Center roof paneling (1) (areas F).
