The following operation steps 1 and 2 are shown on the left side of the vehicle. In case of damage on the right side of the vehicle, these steps must be performed analogously.

1. Grind mating surfaces on rear-end floor reinforcement (1) down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.
2. Remove grinding dust.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

3. Grind mating surfaces on rear-end crossmember (3) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.
4. Remove grinding dust.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
