Cut Off Rear End Center Assembly - Ar64.20-P-1000-02FRX

  1. Expose laser seams on rear-end center section (1) and cut off (areas A).
  2. Expose spot welds on rear-end center section (1) and cut off (areas B, D).

    IMPORTANT Joint spot welds on panels that are one behind the other must be cut out through two panel thicknesses.

    Cut off spot welds on inside (areas B).

  3. Expose spot welds on rear center section (1) and drill through with a diameter of 6.5 mm (areas C).

    IMPORTANT The following operation steps 4 and 5 are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed in the same way on the right side of the vehicle.

  4. Expose spot weld on rear-end center section (1) and cut off (area E).
  5. Expose spot welds on rear-end center section (1) and drill out with a diameter of 6.5 mm (area F).

  6. Bend rear fenders upward on both sides in the direction of the arrow (G).
  7. Remove rear center section (1).

    IMPORTANT Helper required.

  8. Sand down mating surfaces to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

  9. Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
  10. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.

    IMPORTANT The following operation steps 11 to 13 are shown on the left of the vehicle and must be performed in the same way on the right side of the vehicle.

  11. Sand down mating surfaces to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

    Grind mating surface on the inside down to bare metal (area H).

  12. Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
  13. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
