1	Assess brake pad thickness (1) of break pads on front axle.	If necessary, use a flashlight (2) or a mirror (3). The thickness of the pad backing plate can be used as a reference when assessing the brake lining thickness (1). Brake lining If, in exceptional cases, assessment through visual inspection is not possible. ↓ Remove front wheels and assess them. After obtaining special order.	*BE42.10-P-1001-06G

3	Determine expected remaining distance of break pads.	To determine the prospective remaining distance for each axle, refer to the brake pad with the least brake pad thickness (1). In order to avoid an unscheduled workshop visit between services, determine the remaining distance of the present break pads. If the remaining distance determined is less than the next service interval, advise the customer to replaced the break pads before the due service date.
