Model 257, 290
The following operation steps are to be performed on model 257 on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed analogously on the right side.
Additional information can be found in the superordinate service document.
The safety information in the superordinate service document must be observed.
- Install roof frame and (1) and roof frame console (2), fit, and fix in place.
- Drill rivet holes roof frame console (2) with ø 6.7 mm bit (areas A).
- Drill rivet hole on roof frame (1) from the bottom through the existing hole in the body (area B).
- Remove roof frame (1) and roof frame console (2).
- Deburr rivet holes on roof frame (1), roof frame console (2), and body on both sides.
- Remove drilling chips.
- Coat with zinc dust paint insides of those riveted joints that will not be bonded.
- Apply 2-component adhesive to body in cross-hatched area.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces and manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of 2-component adhesive.
- Install roof frame (1) and roof frame console (2) and fix in place.
- Rivet roof frame (1) and roof frame console (2) with rivets with a diameter of 6.5x12.5 (areas C).
