Location
The TV tuner control unit is located in the trunk on a holder on the right sidewall.

The TV tuner control unit has the following tasks:
- Receive signals

Receive signals
The TV tuner control unit receives signals via the following connections:
- Media Oriented System Transport (MOST)
- Direct lines
Media Oriented System Transport (MOST)
The TV tuner control unit is a MOST participant and communicates over this with the head unit (A26/17).
Direct lines
The TV tuner control unit receives the following signals via direct lines:
- Circuit 31 and circuit 30t
- Electronic wake-up for MOST from the head unit
- TV 1 antenna amplifier (A94/5), for TV-1 signals
- FM 2, DAB and TV (A2/108) antenna amplifier, for TV-2 signals
- TV 3 antenna amplifier (A94/7), for TV-3 signals
Processing signals
- The TV tuner control unit decodes and demodulates the TV signals and separates them into video and audio signals.
Transmitting signals
The TV tuner control unit sends signals via the following connections:
- MOST
- Direct lines
MOST
The TV tuner control unit is a MOST participant and communicates over this with the head unit. The TV tuner control unit transmits the video signals to the head unit. The TV tuner control unit transmits the audio signals to one of the following components:
- Sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3) (with code 810 (Sound system))
- Advanced sound system amplifier control unit (N40/7) (with CODE 811 (Advanced sound system))
- Head unit (model 257 except code 810 (Sound system) and except code 811 (Advanced sound system))
- Midline sound system amplifier control unit (N40/2) (model 290 except code 810 (Sound system) and except code 811 (Advanced sound system))
Direct lines
The TV tuner control unit sends the following signals via direct line:
- Supply voltage to TV 1 antenna amplifier
- Supply voltage to FM 2, DAB and TV antenna amplifier
- Supply voltage to TV 3 antenna amplifier
Structure
In vehicles except code 498 (Japan version), the TV tuner control unit is equipped with a CI+ (Common Interface Plus) slot, into which a CI+ module is inserted. The CI+ slot is equipped with a cover.
