General 

Special protection vehicles are vehicles that are built specifically to withstand mechanical force and thereby provide special protection.

Function 

Emergency engine start device 

The emergency engine start device enables the vehicle to be started if the state of charge of the on-board electrical system battery is too low or if the battery is defective.

Hydraulic power windows 

The side windows can be opened and closed using the hydraulic power window lifters.

Panic alarm system (PAS) 

The PAS [GAS] allows the vehicle occupants to secure the vehicle against intrusion from the outside in the event of danger and to attract attention to an emergency situation using a visual and acoustic alarm. It is also possible to use an intercom system to contact people outside the vehicle.

Fire-extinguishing system 

The fire-extinguishing system is installed in order be able to fight fires below the vehicle and in the engine compartment. The fire-extinguishing system can be actuated manually or automatically. Extinguishing powder is used to fire fighting.

Emergency fresh-air system 

The emergency fresh air system separates the vehicle interior from the outside air and prevents any entry of gases, by generating a slight overpressure.
