	Remove
1	Remove driver's door.		AR72.10-P-0500FR
2	Mark installation position of the driver's door hinge leaf (1.1) and mark A-pillar hinge leaf (1.2).
3	Remove door sill trim.
4.1	Remove bottom insulation insert (3).	Model 257.### 1#, 290.### 1# The bottom insulation insert (3) is inserted into the A-pillar before the nuts (4).
4.2	Unclip front passenger side A-pillar fuse box from the A-pillar and set aside with connected electric lines.	Model 257.### 2#, 290.### 2#
5	Unscrew nuts (4), release A-pillar hinge leaf (1.2), and remove.	Long wedge	Fig 1
6	Remove seal under A-pillar hinge leaf (1.2).
7	Clean A-pillar the area of the hinge support.	Cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1025-04A
8	Remove screws (2) and remove driver's door hinge leaf (1.1).
	Install
9	Align driver's door hinge leaf (1.1) according to previously applied markings on the driver's door and tighten screws (2).	Screw/bolt, hinge to front door	*BA72.10-P-1001-01W
10	Align A-pillar hinge leaf (1.2) with seal to the A-pillar based on the previously applied markings and tighten nuts (4).	Helper required for exact positioning and holding of A-pillar hinge leaf (1.2).
		Nut, hinge to A-pillar	*BA72.10-P-1002-01W
11	Install driver's door.		AR72.10-P-0500FR
12	Open and close driver door.	The installation position of the driver door may change later due to opening and closing.
	Check
13	Check gap dimensions on the driver's door, adjust.		AR72.10-P-0551FR
	Install
14	Repair paint damage at respective bolt heads.
15	Protect driver's door and A-pillar in the area of the hinge against corrosion.	Wax for engine compartment (400 ml spray can)	*BR00.45-Z-1018-05A
16.1	Install bottom insulation insert (3).	Model 257.### 1#, 290.### 1#
16.2	Clip front passenger side A-pillar fuse box into A-pillar.	Model 257.### 2#, 290.### 2#
17	Install door sill trim.
