Remove/Install Transfer Case Control Unit - AR28.19-P-1003MNI

Transmission 725.09 in model 290 with engine 177 

with code M005 (Vehicles with 4MATIC/all-wheel drive)

Do not pour transmission oil into beverage bottles.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Release and disconnect electrical connector (2).    
2 Remove screw/bolts (3). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, control unit to transfer case *BA28.10-P-1010-01G 
3 Remove all-wheel drive control unit (N45) downwards INSTALLATION NOTES :
The catch hooks of the all-wheel drive control unit (N45) must engage in the grooves in the transfer case 4).
Damage will otherwise occur.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Replace seals.
 
4 Install in the reverse order.    
5 Commission all-wheel drive control unit (N45). When replacing the all-wheel drive control unit (N45).  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-06FR
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A

Perform engine test run; while doing so, check transfer case (4) for proper operation and leak tightness.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
