WARNING Risk of injury  caused by pinching or crushing when working on springs or spring bodies that are under tension Use only approved tensioning devices; additionally screen off hazardous area if necessary. Check special tools for damage and proper operation (visual inspection). Wear protective gloves. AS00.00-Z-0001-01A

  1. SPECIAL TOOL Install clamping plates (02, 03) in rear axle springs (1).

    NOTES Check for correct seating of SPECIAL TOOL clamping plates (02, 03). Otherwise they may slip off.

    IMPORTANTSPECIAL TOOL Insert the clamping plates (02, 03) in such a way that as many spring coils as possible can be pre-compressed.

  2. SPECIAL TOOL Insert tensioning device (01) into SPECIAL TOOL clamping plates (02, 03).

    NOTESSPECIAL TOOL Tensioning device (01) must latch audibly into SPECIAL TOOL clamping plates (02, 03).

    Otherwise they may slip off.

  3. Only tension rear axle spring (1) far enough to enable it to be removed.

    NOTES Do not use an impact wrench.

    Otherwise, the SPECIAL TOOL tensioning device (01) or the rear axle spring (1) may be damaged.
