| 1 | Remove front bumper (1). | AR88.20-P-2000FR | |
| 2 | Disconnect electrical connectors on front bumper pedestrian protection sensors (B151/1, B151/3). | ||
| 3 | Take hose (2) out of groove of impact absorber (3). | Ensure that the hose (2) is correctly seated in groove of impact absorber (3). The hose (2) must be routed in the groove free of tension or kinks. Otherwise the pedestrian protection system may malfunction. |

| 4 | Check impact absorber (3) for damage or deformation. | ||

| If there is a problem, ↓ Replace impact absorber (3). |

| 5 | Remove front bumper pedestrian protection sensors (B151/1, B151/3) together with hose (2). | The front bumper pedestrian protection sensors (B151/1, B151/3) are permanently connected to the hose (2) and must not be separated. Otherwise the pedestrian protection system may malfunction. |
