General
The time-controlled shutoff function has the task of deactivating functions after certain time intervals. The function is controlled by the signal acquisition and actuation module.
Function requirements
- Terminal 15 or terminal 15R or terminal 50 on or vehicle condition = LIVING.
- Only for front passenger seat heating: No transition from front passenger seat occupied/front passenger seat belt buckle inserted to front passenger seat not occupied/seat belt buckle not inserted for more than 10 s.
In this case, the front passenger seat heating is automatically switched off. If an occupied front passenger seat or an inserted front passenger seat belt buckle is detected again within 3 minutes, the front passenger seat heating is automatically switched on again. After 3 minutes have elapsed, it must be switched on manually.
Function
The signal acquisition and actuation module switches off the following seat climate control functions automatically on a timed basis:
- Seat heater
- Seat ventilation
The timer control of the three levels can be adjusted using the diagnosis tester.
Seat climate control with 3 stages
Timer control is carried out depending on the set stage:
- Heating level/seat ventilation level 3 is active for 8 min. The seat climate control then switches automatically to stage 2.
- Heating level/seat ventilation level 2 is active for 10 min. The seat climate control then switches automatically to stage 1.
- Heating level/seat ventilation level 1 is active for 20 min. The seat climate control then switches off automatically.
The timer control of the three levels can be adjusted using the diagnosis tester.
Seat climate control with 2 stages
Timer control is carried out depending on the set stage:
- Heating level/seat ventilation level 2 is active for 8 min. The seat climate control then switches automatically to stage 1.
- Heating level/seat ventilation level 1 is active for 30 min. The seat climate control then switches off automatically.
The timer control of the two levels can be adjusted using the diagnosis tester.
