Electric Seats Function - GF91.29-P-0006FR

Model 257, 290 up to Model year 2021 

The function description for electrical seats includes the following subfunctions:

• Electrical seat adjustment (ESE) function (except code 278 (Fully electric front seats) and except code 275 (Memory Package)) 
• Electrical seat adjustment (ESE) function (with code 278 (Fully electric front seats)) 
• Electrical seat adjustment (ESE), function (with CODE 275 (Memory package)) 
• Lumbar support adjustment function (with code 278 (Fully electric front seats) or code 275 (Memory package) except code 432 (Left and right dynamic multicontour seat) or Model 290 with code P65 (Seat Comfort Package)) 
• Front multicontour seat (MKS), function (with code 432 (Left and right dynamic multicontour seat)) 
• Rear passenger compartment seat backrest release function (Model 290 with code 287 (Folding seat backrests in rear passenger compartment)) 
• Electric steering column adjustment (ELE) function (with CODE 275 (Memory package)) 

Electrical seat adjustment (ESE) function (except code 278 (Fully electric front seats) and except code 275 (Memory Package)) 

The following electrical driver and front passenger seat settings can be made with the ESA:

• Seat height
• Backrest inclination
• Seat inclination (Model 257, Model 290 with code P65 (Seat Comfort Package))

Electrical seat adjustment (ESE) function (with code 278 (Fully electric front seats)) 

The following electrical driver and front passenger seat settings can be made with the ESA:

• Seat fore/aft position
• Backrest inclination
• Seat height
• Seat inclination

Electrical seat adjustment (ESE), function (with CODE 275 (Memory package)) 

The following electrical driver and front passenger seat settings can be made with the ESA:

• Seat fore/aft position
• Backrest inclination
• Seat height
• Seat inclination
• Seat cushion length
• Head restraint height

The memory function can also be used to store and retrieve up to three different seat positions.

Lumbar support adjustment function (with code 278 (Fully electric front seats) or code 275 (Memory package) except code 432 (Left and right dynamic multicontour seat) or Model 290 with code P65 (Seat Comfort Package)) 

In order to provide optimum support for the vertebral column, the backrest on the driver and front passenger seat each has a lumbar support unit integrated.

Front multicontour seat (MKS), function (with code 432 (Left and right dynamic multicontour seat)) 

In order to provide optimum support for the vertebral column, two air cushions each are integrated in the backrest of the driver and front passenger seat in the lumbar support area. In addition, the contour and surface hardness of the backrest of the driver or front passenger seat can be changed individually. This is done by air cushions that can be inflated independently of each other. The dynamic function boosts the lateral support when cornering by automatically increasing the pressure in whichever lateral support air cushion is on the outside of the curve. In order to prevent back tension during long journeys, the multicontour seat is also equipped with a massage function.

Rear passenger compartment seat backrest release function (Model 290 with code 287 (Folding seat backrests in rear passenger compartment)) 

In order to increase the loading volume of the vehicle, the split backrest in the rear can be unlocked electrically and then folded over towards the front.

Electric steering column adjustment (ELE) function (with CODE 275 (Memory package)) 

The adjust/store steering column function allows the steering column to be adjusted to various different positions and these positions to be stored. The easy entry/exit function allows the driver to get in and out of the vehicle easily. In the process the steering column is moved upwards before getting in or out.
