Remove/Install Engine Covers - AP01.10-P-2405-01F

Remove engine cover (21) 

NOTES During removal of the engine cover (21), it absolutely must be ensured that only the positions marked in the picture (arrows A) are used for pulling. The ball head (7) engages there in the ball mount receptacle on the engine (4) and the ball mount receptacles (6) into the ball heads on the engine (5). Do not exert any force to the engine cover at any other points.

Failure to observe these instructions can result in damage to the engine cover (21).

  1. Remove cold air guide (22) from air duct of radiator crossmember.
  2. Release ball mount receptacles (6) from ball heads on engine (5).
  3. Release ball head (7) from ball mount receptacle on engine (4).

    Install engine cover (21) 

    NOTES During installation of the engine cover (21), it absolutely must be ensured that only the positions marked in the picture (arrows A) are used. The ball head (7) engages there in the ball mount receptacle on the engine (4) and the ball mount receptacles (6) into the ball heads on the engine (5). Do not exert any force to the engine cover at any other points.

    Failure to observe these instructions can result in damage to the engine cover (21).

  4. Check ball mount receptacle on engine (4) and ball mount receptacles (6) for correct seating.

    If problems are determined,

    rectify the problems.

    IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.

  5. Clip ball head (7) into ball mount receptacle on engine (4) and place engine cover (21) flat onto ball mount receptacles (6).
  6. Clip ball heads on engine (5) into ball mount receptacles (6).
  7. Attach cold air guide (22) at air duct of radiator crossmember.
