Location
The touchscreen is located in the rear passenger compartment center console between the rear seats.
Tasks
The touchscreen is the central control element for various functions in the rear passenger compartment, including (equipment specific) the following:
- Rear air conditioning
- Rear passenger compartment seat functions
- Roof functions
- Selection and operation of audio sources including volume mute function
- Tone settings
- Ambiance illumination
- Touchscreen settings (language brightness time period for automatic standby in case of inactivity)
The touchscreen AMG menu provides the vehicle occupants in the rear passenger compartment with different views of lots of vehicle data including e.g. the following:
- Engine torque
- Engine output
- Oil temperature
- Transmission temperature
- Transmission mode
- Steering wheel angle
- Status of accelerator pedal brake pedal and damper
- Drive torque
- Centrifugal forces
The touchscreen is a telematics CAN (CAN A) user and communicates in this manner with the head unit (A26/17).
The touchscreen receives circuit 30t and circuit 31 over direct lines.
