The following operation steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle. In case of damage on the right side of the vehicle, these steps must be performed analogously.
Additional information can be found in the superordinate service document.
The safety information in the superordinate service document must be observed.
- Cut outer rear wheel well (1) along the embossment (area A).
Do not cut too deeply.
Otherwise the components below can be damaged and weakened.
- Separate adhesive bead between outer rear wheel well (1) and rear fender (area B).
The rear fender is bonded to the outer rear wheel well (1).
- Heat rear outer wheel well in the cross-hatched area.
Cross-hatched area is bonded.
- Remove outer rear wheel well section.
- Remove glue residues from fender (area C).
The height of the remaining adhesive should be max. 2 mm.
- Remove loose adhesive material.
- Repair bare parts with primer stick (area C).
