| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Move rear axle brake pads into assembly position. | Do not operate the service brake while "Move to assembly position" is shown. Otherwise the spindle in the brake caliper (1) will be damaged. |

| 2 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m). | ||
| 3 | Remove corresponding rear wheel. | AR40.10-P-1102A | |
| 4 | Release and disconnect electrical plug at electric parking brake actuator motor (M76/1 or M76/2). | ||
| 5 | Expose electric line (3). | ||
| 6 | Expose electrical line (4). | Only on right side of vehicle. | |
| 7 | Unscrew bolts (2). | *BA42.10-P-1003-12W | |
| 8 | Detach brake caliper (1) towards rear from brake caliper support until both screws (5) are accessible. | Do not tension or kink brake hose and electrical lines (3, 4). Otherwise, the brake hose or the electric lines (3, 4) may be damaged. |

| 9 | Unclip cover at electric parking brake actuator motor (M76/1 or M76/2). | If installed. | |
| 10 | Remove screws (5). | *BA42.10-P-1004-12W | |
| 11 | Remove electric parking brake actuator motor (M76/1 or M76/2). | ||
| 12 | Install in the reverse order. | ||
| 13 | Perform brake test on test stand. | ||
