Adjust Rear Door Side Window Preload - AR67.30-P-0016-02FR

Check preload of the rear door side window (1) at the seal (9), shown on model 257 

  1. Move rear door to the first lock catch.
  2. Check for contact of window edge of the rear door side window (1) with seal (9).

    IMPORTANT Window edge of rear door side window (1) must just be in contact with seal in upper area (arrow) (9).

    If there is a problem,

    adjust rear door side window once again (1).

    Adjust preload of the rear door side window (1) at the seal (9), shown on model 257 

  3. Open rear door.
  4. Release nut (10) with the SPECIAL TOOL socket wrench and with the SPECIAL TOOL socket wrench socket and adjust the preload of the rear door side window (1) by turning the setting screw (11).

    NOTES Turn setting screw (11) only until the adjustment force increases noticeably. The maximum adjustment is reached as a result. Do not continue turning setting screw (11).

    Thread will otherwise be damaged.

    IMPORTANT Do not unscrew nut (10) from the setting screw (11).

    Otherwise the adjustment screw (11) can be pressed behind the door module and can no longer be reached.

    IMPORTANT Turning the setting screw (11) counterclockwise increases ("+") preload of the rear door side window (1).

    Turning the setting screw (11) clockwise reduces ("-") preload of the rear door side window (1).

  5. Move rear door to the first lock catch.
  6. Check for contact of the window edge of the rear door side window (1) with seal (9).

    If there is a problem,

    adjust rear door side window once again (1).

  7. Open rear door.
  8. Tighten nut (10) with the SPECIAL TOOL socket wrench and with the SPECIAL TOOL socket wrench socket.

    IMPORTANT When tightening the nut (10), the setting screw (11) may not turn; otherwise, the adjustment must be repeated.

    Adjust transition of the rear door side window (1) to the B-pillar cover (2), shown on model 257 

  9. Unhook molded part of the seal (9) at the bottom from the B-pillar cover (2).
  10. Loosen screw (12).
  11. Adjust dimension (c) by turning the sleeve (13).

    IMPORTANT Turning the sleeve (13) counterclockwise increases ("+") the dimension (c). Turning the sleeve (13) clockwise reduces the ("-") dimension (c).

  12. Tighten screw (12).
  13. Hook the molded part of the seal (9) at the bottom onto the B-pillar cover (2).
