| 1 | Release and fold over seat backrest (1). | ||
| 2 | Unclip cover (2). | Unclip cover (2) first in direction of rear door and then upward. Otherwise, the cover (2) may be damaged. |

| 3 | Unhook cover of seat backrest (1) in area of seat backrest locking function (3). | ||
| 4 | Loosen padding and cover of seat backrest (1) until seat backrest locking function (3) and screws (4) are accessible. | Carefully loosen padding and cover of seat backrest (1). Damage can otherwise occur. |

| 6 | Remove seat backrest locking function (3) with attached electrical connector from seat backrest. | ||
| 7 | Disconnect electrical connector on seat backrest locking function (3). | ||
| 8 | Install in the reverse order |
