	Draining
1	Connect diagnostic system.

2	Move front wheels to straight-ahead position.
3	Lift vehicle with vehicle lift.		AR00.60-P-1006A
4	Remove trim on rear left and right transverse control arm.	If hydraulic pressure lines of electrohydraulic suspension on rear axle are emptied.
	Clean
5	Clean area surrounding respective suspension strut.	Thoroughly clean area around respective suspension strut before working on electrohydraulic suspension strut. Otherwise, minute dirt particles in the hydraulic components result in malfunctions and total failure of the electrohydraulic suspension. Use clean, lint-free rag only.

6	Remove cover caps (1) of shutoff valves (3, 4)
7	Remove dust caps (2) of connection fittings (5 6) completely.	If the dust caps (2) of the connection fittings (5, 6) are missing, ↓ replace respective dust cap (2) and connection fitting (5) or connection fitting (6).	AR32.50-P-0009-01ME

8	Drain the hydraulic pressure lines of the electrohydraulic suspension using guided diagnosis.

		Prior to each procedure emptying the hydraulic pressure lines, the shutoff valves (3, 4) of the respective shock absorber (7) must be screwed in up to the end stop (arrows D). The hydraulic pressure in the shock absorber (7) must not fall. It is only by closing the shutoff valves (3, 4) that hydraulic pressure in the shock absorber (7) is maintained. It is not possible to fill the shock absorbers (7).

9	Fill hydraulic pressure lines of electrohydraulic suspension using guided diagnosis.

		After each filling procedure, the shutoff valves (3, 4) must be unscrewed up to the end stop (C). Otherwise the hydraulic circuit will not be connected to the hydraulic pump.	WS32.00-P-0032B

10	Attach cover caps (1) of shutoff valves (3, 4).
11	Install dust caps (2) of connection fittings (5, 6).

14	Disconnect diagnostic system.
