  1. Release and disconnect electrical connector of left exhaust camshaft Hall sensor (B6/6).
  2. Release and disconnect electrical connector of left intake camshaft Hall sensor (B6/4).
  3. Release and disconnect electrical connector of cylinder 5+6 ignition coil (T4/2).
  4. Release and disconnect electrical connector of cylinder 7+8 ignition coil (T4/3).
  5. Unclip electrical connector for left lambda sensor downstream of catalytic converter (G3/5x1) and electrical connector for left lambda sensor downstream of catalytic converter (G3/3x1)
  6. Release and disconnect electrical connector of left lambda sensor downstream of catalytic converter (G3/5x1).
  7. Release and disconnect electrical connector of left lambda sensor upstream of catalytic converter (G3/3x1).
  8. Release and disconnect electrical connector of cylinder 8 exhaust CAMTRONIC actuator (Y49/18).
  9. Release and disconnect electrical connector of cylinder 8 intake CAMTRONIC actuator (Y49/17).
  10. Release and disconnect electrical connector of cylinder 5 exhaust CAMTRONIC actuator (Y49/16).
  11. Release and disconnect electrical connector of cylinder 5 intake CAMTRONIC actuator (Y49/15).
  12. Release and disconnect electrical connector of left fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B42/2).
  13. Release and disconnect electrical connector of left charge air temperature sensor (B17/14).
  14. Release and disconnect electrical connector of pressure sensor downstream of left throttle valve (B28/22).
  15. Release and disconnect electrical connector of pressure sensor upstream of left throttle valve (B28/20).
  16. Release and disconnect electrical connector of the left intake camshaft adjustment solenoid (Y49/4).
  17. Release and disconnect electrical connector of left exhaust camshaft adjustment solenoid (Y49/6).

  18. Release and disconnect electrical connector of the high-pressure fuel pump (20).
  19. Unclip electrical connector (21) from cylinder head cover.
  20. Release and disconnect electrical connector (21).
  21. Release and disconnect electrical connectors of cylinder 5 to 8 fuel injectors (Y76/5, Y76/6, Y76/7, Y76/8).
  22. Remove screw (19) TORQUE SPECIFICATION .
  23. Remove screw (22) TORQUE SPECIFICATION .
  24. Remove screws/bolts (23) TORQUE SPECIFICATION .
  25. Connect in reverse order.
