The next steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle. In case of damage on the right side of the vehicle, these steps must be performed analogously.

The superordinate service document as well as the safety information in the service document must be observed.

1. Expose weld seams on the rear panel crossmember mounting support (1) and cut (area A).
2. Remove screws (2) from the rear panel crossmember mounting support (1).
3. Remove rear panel crossmember mounting support (1).

4. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.
5. Remove grinding dust.
