Check steering function with installed locking pliers with microphone (1).
There is a risk of accident.
Install locking pliers with microphone (1) such that the freedom of movement of the suspension components is not impaired in the operating status.
Otherwise the locking pliers with microphone will become damaged (1).
Install locking pliers with microphone (1) as near to the suspected component parts as possible.
Up to 6 locking pliers with microphone (1) can be installed. |

Fasten the lines (2) of the locking pliers with microphone (1). |
Route the lines (2) such that the freedom of movement of the suspension components is not impaired in the operating status.
Otherwise there is a risk if accident.
Fasten the lines (2) with Velcro strip, cable ties or tape. |

Guide the lines (2) of the locking pliers with microphone (1) into the vehicle interior. |
Make sure the lines are correctly installed. So that damage from the door or window is ruled out.
Route the lines (2) so that contact with the road is ruled out. |

Connect the lines (2) to the changeover switch (3). |
The lines (2) and connections at the changeover switch (3) are color-coded. Note assignment of component parts to be monitored relative to color. |

Carry out road test for noise diagnosis. |
Only carry out road test with a second person. The driver may not wear the headphones. |

Localize the defective component parts by listening into the microphones. |
Reduce volume before each channel change.
Otherwise hearing damage can occur.
If it leads to complaints.
