WARNING Risk of poisoning  from swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury  from skin and eye contact with brake fluid Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid. AS42.50-Z-0001-01A

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove brake hose (2) from brake caliper (1), seal openings with suitable stop plugs and unclip brake hose (2) from holder. IMPORTANT Do not remove brake caliper (1). AR42.10-P-0070ME

2 Clean area around connecting point between brake line (3) and brake hose (2). Assembly cleaner *BR00.45-Z-1028-04A 
3 Remove brake hose (2) from brake line (3) and seal exposed connections using suitable stop plugs. INSTALLATION NOTES
Do not twist brake hose (2) and ensure correct routing.
Otherwise, the brake hose (2) will be damaged.
IMPORTANT Collect escaping brake fluid with a suitable container.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Make sure that retaining clip (4) is seated properly.
 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Brake line to brake hose *BA42.10-P-1002-04J 
    SPECIAL TOOL Box wrench bit Fig 2
    SPECIAL TOOL Record plug Fig 4
4 Install in the reverse order.    
  Concluding tasks     
DANGER Risk of accident  when commissioning the vehicle due to a lack of braking effect when the service brake is operated for the first time after repair work. Before starting the engine, actuate brake pedal several times until pressure is built up and maintained in the brake system. AS42.50-Z-0002-01A 
5 Operate brake pedal several times until the brakepads contact the brake disks. IMPORTANT Firm resistance should be noticeable at the brake pedal.  
6 Bleed brake system.   AR42.10-P-0010ME 
7 Remove residue from brake fluid with water.    
8 Install cover above brake fluid expansion reservoir.    
DANGER Risk of death  caused by limbs being caught or crushed by rotating parts when performing tests on the brake test stand Never leave the vehicle unattended on the rollers except in an emergency. Ensure that no one is under the vehicle or near rotating parts during testing. In case of emergency, use the EMERGENCY OFF switch to shut down test stand. AS42.00-Z-0001-01A 
9 Perform brake test on test stand.
