Topical note	Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge		AH54.00-P-0001-01A
	Remove/install
1	Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m).
2	Unclip handrest (1) at the rear end upward (arrow A) and remove toward rear.
3	Unscrew screws (2) and remove base of handrest (1).
4	Push roller blind (9) and unclip cover (4) from the front toward the rear until the electrical connectors are accessible.	Do not crush or kink or subject electric lines to tension. This will result in damage to the electric lines and can impair their function.
5	Release electrical connectors, disconnect and remove cover (4).	The number of electrical connectors varies according to vehicle equipment.
6	Unclip cover (3).
7	Remove screws (5) and remove cover (6).	Ensure that the cover (6) is seated correctly.
8	Unscrew screws (7).
9	Release grab handle (8) until the electrical connectors are accessible. Then, release and disconnect them.	Do not crush or kink or subject electric lines to tension. This will result in damage to the electric lines and can impair their function. Ensure that the electrical connectors are routed correctly. To prevent damage and noise during vehicle operation. The number of electrical connectors varies according to vehicle equipment.
10	Expose electrical wiring harnesses on the bottom of the grab handle (8) and remove grab handle (8).	Ensure that wiring harnesses are routed correctly. To prevent damage and noise during vehicle operation. The number of electrical lines varies depending on the vehicle equipment.
11	Unclip side trims (13) from the rear to the front and remove them.
12	Unclip the cover (14) and unscrew the screw (15).	The instructions are shown only for one side and must be carried out on both sides.
13	Open the rear storage space armrest and fold up the fabric cover (16).
14	Remove nuts (17).
15	Remove screws (11).
16	Raise the center console slightly and move it as far as necessary to the rear.	Do not crush or kink or subject electric lines to tension. This will result in damage to the electric lines and can impair their function.
17	Remove stowage compartment (12).
18	Install in the reverse order
