| 1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (at least 2 m). | ||
| 2 | Raise vehicle. | AR00.60-P-1006A | |
| 3 | Open socket flap in the rear bumper (1) and remove socket cover. | Model 167.117/154/317/354 with code 65B (On-board xEV charging socket China Standard GB/T) |

| 4 | Unclip the lower sensor of the rear switch module from the holder and hang to the side with line attached. | Model 167 with code 871 (HANDS-FREE ACCESS) |

| 5 | Remove screws (2). | ||
| 6 | Remove expansion rivets (3). | Fig 2 | |
| 7 | Remove expansion rivets from left and right fender liner (4) in the area of the rear bumper (1). | Fig 2 | |
| 8 | Press the fender liner (4) to the side until the expansion rivet (5) and screw (6) are accessible. | ||
| 9 | Remove expansion rivet (5). | Fig 2 | |
| 10 | Remove screw (6). | ||
| 11 | Unclip rear bumper (1) in the area of the wheel arch liner (arrow a), side wall (arrow b) and under the rear lamp (arrow c). | ||
| 12 | Remove rear bumper (1) until the electrical connector (7) is accessible. | ||
| 13 | Disconnect electrical connector (7) and remove rear bumper (1). | with code 235 (Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC) An additional electrical connector must be disconnected. |

| 14 | Install in the reverse order |
