Notes On Soldering - AH00.19-P-1000-10A

Model all (4xWD, CAR, Heavy transporter, Light transporter, smart)

IMPORTANT Ensure that unleaded solder is used. Heat up the parts to be joined and the solder evenly. Avoid using heat-drawing bases and holding devices. The soldering process for connecting wires and component part connections lasts 2 to 4 s depending on the cross section. The same time is set up to hardening.

Avoid unnecessarily high heating and the damage to component parts associated with it.

During pauses in soldering, make sure that the soldering tip remains sufficiently tin-plated.

Surface of the soldering join

IMPORTANT Correct solder connection (A):

The solder surface (4) is smooth, shiny, without sharp edges, without interruptions, fluid and free from residue and oxidation.

IMPORTANT Incorrect solder connection (B):

The solder surface (4) is dull, uneven, has sharp edges, has interruptions, is not fluid and is covered in residue.

Wire position and contour of soldering join

IMPORTANT Correct solder connection (A):

The distance (a), end sleeve (2) to line insulation, between the end sleeve (2) and the line insulation is in the range of approx. 1 mm. Parts that stick out do not protrude beyond the collar of the end sleeve (2). The solder flows in a radius toward the line insulation and surrounds at least 2/3 of the lead outside the end sleeve (2). There are no bare copper wires visible in the soldering area.

IMPORTANT Incorrect solder connection (B):

The distance (a), end sleeve (2) to line insulation, is greater than 2 mm. The electric line is inserted incorrectly. The solder protrudes beyond the extension line (b) from the collar of the end sleeve (2). The solder flows in the wrong direction. The transition from the solder to the lead is jagged, the solder surface (3) has not flowed and thus there is a dry solder joint.

Solder covering and solder quantity for the soldering join

IMPORTANT Correct solder connection (A):

The amount of solder (4) is sufficient. The lead of the electric line (1) is completely surrounded. The end sleeve (2) is not covered with solder (4) around the collar.

IMPORTANT Incorrect solder connection (B):

The amount of solder (4) is insufficient. The lead of the line (1) is not completely surrounded. Single wires are not incorporated by the solder (4).
