1. Install crossmember above the rear axle (1), fit, and fix in place.
2. Transfer positions of the existing holes in the body with drill hole detectors onto the crossmember above the rear axle (1) (areas A).
3. Remove crossmember above the rear axle (1).
4. Drill rivet holes at the positions transferred with drill hole detectors on the crossmember above the rear axle (1) with a diameter of 6.8 mm (areas A).
5. Deburr rivet holes on the crossmember above the rear axle (1) and on the body on both sides.
6. Remove drilling chips.

7. Apply 2-component adhesive to body in cross-hatched areas.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces and manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of 2-component adhesive.

8. Install crossmember above the rear axle (1) and fix in place.
9. Rivet crossmember above the rear axle (1) with rivets with a diameter of 6.4 x 14 (areas B).
10. Crossmember above rear axle (1) (area C).

    Perform inert gas welding at intervals and allow to cool down in between.

    This reduces heat distortion.

11. Tighten crossmember above rear axle (1) with nuts (2).
