Bonding area must be fully free from dust and grease. Otherwise the adhesive force of the adhesive material starts to decrease.
Use only the repair kit specified in the EPC.
- Coat over viewing window (2) for the vehicle identification number on the inside of the windshield (1) with primer.
If a new windshield (1) is installed and the viewing window (2) is not required.
Do not coat over adjustment marks (3) for the windshield wipers here.
- Check windshield (1) for damage.
If the windshield (1) is reused.
If there is a problem,

Replace windshield (1).
- Reduce remaining adhesive material on the windshield (1) with a suitable scraper to a height of approx. 2 mm and remove loose remaining adhesive material.
If the windshield (1) is reused.
- Repair damaged primer coat on the windshield (1) with primer.
If the windshield (1) is reused.
The primer must flash off for at least 10 min.
Otherwise the adhesive force of the adhesive material starts to decrease.
- Apply cleaner (activator) in the bonding area on the windshield (1) and rub dry with a dry cloth.
If the windshield (1) is replaced.
- Coat bonding area on the windshield (1) with primer.
If the windshield (1) is replaced.
The primer must flash off for at least 10 min.
Otherwise the adhesive force of the adhesive material starts to decrease.
