| 1 | Remove center console of 3rd seat row. | AR68.20-P-2021ME | |
| 2 | Fold over respective seat backrest. | If necessary. | |
| 3 | Remove seat backrest trim (1). | Fig 1 | |
| 4 | Remove cover (2). | ||
| 5 | Remove head restraint guides (3). | AR91.16-P-0006ME | |
| 6 | Pull release handle (4) upwards and remove bolt (5). | ||
| 7 | Remove cover (6). | ||
| 8 | Detach seat backrest cover (7) from seat backrest frame. | ||

| 9 | Remove seat backrest cover (7) together with seat backrest padding (8) from seat backrest frame. | ||
| 10 | Release seat backrest cover (7) far enough from seat backrest padding (8) until staple clips are accessible. | ||
| 11 | Separate staple clips at attachment points (arrows) and remove remaining pieces from seat backrest padding (8). | Carefully remove the remaining pieces of staple clips. Otherwise, the seat backrest padding (8) and the seat backrest cover (7) will be damaged. |
