Prepare Spare Tire Well (Model 167.1, 167.3) - Ar64.20-P-1245-02ME

The higher-level service document as well as the safety information in the service document must be observed.

1. Mark separating point on spare wheel well (1) and cut (area A).

   Transfer the separation point from vehicle and add approx. 3 cm for overlap.

2. Remove part of the spare wheel well (1).

3. Cut back the spare wheel well (1) by approx. 2 cm (area B).

   To make insertion into the body easier.

4. Grind mating surfaces on spare wheel well (1) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.

   Grind mating surface on underside down to bare metal (area C).

5. Remove grinding dust.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
