Remove/Install Inertization Cartridge - AR86.10-P-0106ME

Procedure for removing the cartridge 

WARNING Risk of injury  during testing and repair operations related to pyrotechnical components Do not expose pyrotechnical component parts to temperatures above 100°C or 212°F. Disconnect current supply when working on such component parts. AS91.00-Z-0008-01A

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove cover of air/water duct.   AR83.10-P-1411ME
2 Disconnect the ground line for the on-board electrical system battery (G1).   AR54.10-P-0003ME
3 Remove clip (5), remove inerting line (4) from cartridge (1) and place to one side. INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace clamp (5). Make sure it is correctly locked.  
4 Release and disconnect electrical connection (3). SPECIAL TOOL Removal lever Fig 1
5 Unscrew nuts (2). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Pressure medium reservoir at body *BA86.10-P-1001-03B 
6 Pull cartridge (1) forward and out of bolts (arrow A), guide slightly downward (arrow B), tilt back (arrow C), and remove to the left (arrow D). IMPORTANT While doing so, place the coolant line located at the bottom behind the cartridge (1).  
INSPECT Check     
7 Check cartridge (1) and all connections for damage. If problems occur,

Replace cartridge (1).
 
8 Install in the reverse order
