Location
The power window motors are located either on the interior door module of the respective door or in the side wall in the rear.
Task
The power window motors actuate the window lifters and thus facilitate the opening and closing of the side windows.
The position of the respective window lifter and thus of the side window is detected by evaluating the current ripple factor of the power window motors.
The signal evaluation and actuation is realized, depending on the vehicle, by the respective door control unit or rear control unit.
