Notes On Handling, Transport And Storage Of Ceramic Brake Disks - AH42.10-P-9406-13A

NOTES The ceramic brake disk ring (1) of the brake disk is by design very brittle and is therefore sensitive to loads such as runout, camber, torsion and bending. Always handle brake disks with the utmost care. Brake disks with excessive cracking, breakouts and chipping must not be used.

The following process must be followed for brake disks:

While carrying out the following operations, be very careful with the brake disks so as to avoid damages to the brake disk ring (1):

NOTES Only turn the steering by turning the steering wheel, not by pulling or pushing on the brake caliper and brake disk. Otherwise the brake disk may be damaged.
