The working length of the insertion tool (2) or attachment tool (4) plugged onto the torque wrench (1) changes the leverage of the torque wrench (1). This in turn alters the actual tightening torque.
Therefore the tightening torque to be set (MDE) has to be calculated as a function of the working length of the insertion tool (2) or attachment tool (4) and the prescribed tightening torque (MDV).
The following formula is used to calculate the tightening torque (MDE) to be set:
MDE = [MDV x (b+c)]: (b+d)

c Internal caliper of adjusting tool
